The Dancing Sky
(Il Cielo che Danza) Date: 18 & 19 July, 9pm to 1am The National Museum of Singapore invites all of Singapore to a spectacular open-air theatre production this July. Set against the elegant façade of the 120-year museum, the world famous Compagnia di Valerio Festi will transform the museum garden and premises into a surreal and magical playground with its site-specific masterpiece II Cielo che Danza (The Dancing Sky). Inspired by ancient mythology, Compagnia di Valerio Festi’s stunning production sees sublime dancers appear from the heavens suspended by floating hand-painted spheres. Dreamlike princesses traverse through the audience, setting the grounds ablaze with colour and beauty. Accompanied by exquisite music and lighting, this extraordinary extravaganza is free for all to enjoy for two magical evenings only!
